More information

Run-walk groups will once again take part in both the 21 km and 10 km distances, while the 10 km also features a walking group. Everyone is welcome to join!

Run-walk groups (21 km and 10 km)

The 21 km group will be led by Dora Anton and the 10 km group by Egle Rebane.

  • The 21 km group will follow a 5+5 pattern: five minutes of walking followed by five minutes of running. The walking pace will be 9:40 min/km and the running pace 7:00 min/km. The estimated finish time is approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes.
  • The 10 km group will follow a 3+3 pattern. The running pace will be approximately 6:45–7:00 min/km and the walking pace approximately 9:40 min/km. The estimated finish time is around 1 hour and 20 minutes.

When joining a group, please be prepared to keep to the planned pace. If you feel it is too fast or too slow, talk to the group leader about the best way to continue.

The run-walk groups’ meeting points in the start corridor will be marked with signs. You can recognise the group leaders by their pace leader shirts and flags.

Walking group (10 km)

The 10 km walking group will be led by popular Vanemuine actor Reimo Sagor and active lifestyle enthusiast Mart Einasto. The group is expected to complete the course in approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

If you feel the pace is too fast or too slow, talk to the walking group leader about the best way to continue.

The walking group’s meeting point at the back of the start corridor will be marked with specially designed flags, and the group leaders will wear distinctive vests.

Group memo

  • The group leaders will encourage and motivate participants, offer advice on how to manage their energy and support them when the going gets tough.
  • No separate registration is required. Simply register for the 21 km or 10 km distance and come to the meeting point on race morning.
  • Everyone joining a run-walk or walking group is a full participant in the event: their name and finish time will appear in the official results, and they will receive a finisher medal and all other participant services at the finish.
