Hiking and run-walk groups will start this year on the 10 km and 21 km distances. All interested participants are welcome to join the groups. There is no separate registration required—just gather near the group leader before the start.
Hiking group information
- Hiking groups will complete the 21 km and 10 km distances with the support of a hike leader. The 21 km group leaders are Mart Einasto and Robert Annus. The 10 km group leaders are Ingrid Lamp and Maria Annus.

- The hiking group leaders encourage and motivate participants, give advice on how to manage energy, and offer support when things get tough.
- The 21 km route will be completed in approximately 3.5 hours, and the 10 km route in up to 2 hours. When joining the group, please be prepared to maintain the planned pace. If you feel the pace is too fast or too slow, discuss with the hike leader how to proceed.
- The hiking group meeting point at the end of the starting corridor will be marked with specially designed flags, and the leader will wear a group leader vest.
- Participants in the hiking groups are regular marathon participants: their names and times will be recorded in the results, and they will receive a finisher’s medal and all other services.
Run-walk group information
- Run-walk groups will also start on the 21 km and 10 km distances. The 21 km group leader is Tiit Pekk, and the 10 km group leader is Indrek Kelk.

- The group leaders encourage and motivate participants, give advice on how to manage energy, and offer support when things get tough.
- Run-walk groups follow a 5+5 principle: 5 minutes of running followed by 5 minutes of brisk walking. When joining the group, please be prepared to maintain the planned pace. If you feel the pace is too fast or too slow, discuss with the group leader how to proceed. The planned pace for the groups is as follows:
- On the 21 km distance: running pace is 6:30 min/km and walking pace is 9:00 min/km.
- On the 10 km distance: running pace is 6:30–6:45 min/km and walking pace is 8:30–9:00 min/km.
- The run-walk group meeting point is at the end of the starting corridor, and you can recognize the leader by their pacemaker shirt and flag.
- Participants in the run-walk groups are regular marathon participants: their names and times will be recorded in the results, and they will receive a finisher’s medal and all other services.
