  • Mask mandatory, general safety rules

    It is mandatory to wear mask before the start (except during the warm-up) and after the finish! In the shuttle bus and at the finish, you may get the mask from the organiser if necessary.


    At the start, put the used mask under your own clothes or throw it in the trash, don't leave it on the ground.


    Disinfect your hands, there are deso stations on site.


    Keep your distance from others in crowded places.


    If possible, come to the marathon with your own transport and share it only with your family members.

     

    Come to the event ONLY when you are completely healthy!

  • Covid certificate mandatory only indoors

    Covid certificate (vaccination or recovery) is mandatory only for entering the secretariat building in the finish area. There you may get the diploma as well as gold and silver pins and stamps into Worldloppet and Estoloppet passports.

     

    Remember to bring the ID document!

    On the marathon day you can order a special GPS tracking service to be visible for your friends. Submit your order here.

  • Start arrangement

    Check your number in the participants list.

     

    63 km start times

     

    Up to 1000 skiers in one start:

    • 0. wave 9:50 elite women 
    • 1. wave 10:00 numbers 1-1000
    • 2. wave 10:10 numbers 1001-2000
    • 3. wave 10:20 numbers 2001-3000

     

    Up to 2 000 participants are allowed at Tehvandi Stadium at a time. The start corridors for the first 2 waves (numbers 1-2000) will be opened at 9:45, except the elite, which will be opened at 9:51.

    Start numbers 2001-3000 are allowed to enter the stadium after the start of the first wave at 10:05.

     

    Skiers enter to the corridor according to their start number. 3 minutes before start of the respective wave, all move together to the start line, where each wave is given a separate start.

     

    For the 1st wave skiers, timing starts at the firing of the start gun. From the 2nd wave onwards, the net time is calculated.
     

    After each wave, there is 5 minutes to cross the start line, after which the start line is lowered again to wait for the next start.

     

    Skiers who reach their start corridor later than 3 minutes before the start of the respective wave, and the wave has started to move, must enter from the back gate of the corridor, and start from the back rows.
     

    31 km start times

     

    There are 2 start groups in the short distance. Each participant can choose the start time according to their expected finish time.

    • 13:30 skiers under 3 h
    • 13:40 skiers over 3 h

     

    The net time is calculated in 31 km distance.

  • Shuttle buses, parking

    If possible, come to the marathon with your own transport and share it only with your family members. As the road conditions may be slippery and the traffic is very heavy, take enough time to arrive on time!


    Parking in Otepää and Arula is free. Parking in Elva is for a fee.

    As no indoor areas / tents will be used at the start, passengers arriving by the the shuttle bus can wait for their start time on the bus. NB! Mask is mandatory on the bus and don't forget to take your belongings with you!

  • Ski waxing

    TOKO waxing service is open in the race center and on the marathon morning in the start venues in Tehvandi and Arula.

     

    Worldloppet passport holders get the basic waxing package free of charge!

    Waxing takes place ONLY on Friday and Saturday in the race center of Tartu Maraton, shopping center Lõunakeskus. 
    NB! Present the Worldloppet pass at the waxing service desk!

    The free waxing package includes glide CH paraffin and gripwax with the value of 25 EUR.Additional services (ski cleaning, special waxing, ski shipping) can be ordered on site according to the price list.

  • Luggage service

    Organisers do not provide luggage bags! Bring your own weatherproof bag, attach the luggage sticker to the strap (sticker is in the start envelope).

     

    Take the bag to the luggage trucks located in the parking lot of Tehvandi café. There are no separate trucks next to the start gates, except for the elite group, whose truck is next to the start corridor.

     

    At the 31 km start, take your bag to the truck located right from the course. 

     

    At the finish, the bags are sorted by the last number of the start bib. The elite group bags are to the left of the finish corridor in the elite area.

  • Time keeping and track

    Time keeping is performed with an electronic timing chip attached inside of your start number. Do not fold or brake the chips! No need to return the chip to organizers. Elite skiers have 2 leg chips, no need to return.

    There are 6 service points on the 63 km track and 3 points on the 31 km track. In addition one coffee point on both of the distances.  Food and drinks are served in separate cups. 

     

    Free waxing service and ski aid is available in all the servce stations. NB! Elite skiers are allowed to drink ONLY in designated drinking areas at official service points.

     

    Time limits of passing service stations are available in the race regulations

     

    On the track, please throw your trash away only in the special waste areas or in the service stations. It is forbidden to throw the trash into the wild!

  • Dressing, washing

    There are no dressing tents at the start venues in Tehvandi and Arula. No indoor facilities are used. Dress in your own vehicle or outdoors.

     

    In the finish area no indoors for dressing. 

     

    No washing facilities at the finish.

  • Finish catering

    There is no tent in the dining area, catering is outside. 

    Remember to take the food coupon that is added to your start materials.

     

    Only reusable dishes (cups and soup bowls) will be used in finish catering. Deposit is not required, return the dishes after eating!

  • Diplomas, pins, stamps

    Printing of diplomas takes place in the finish area, on the second floor of Tartumaa Tervisespordikeskus. 

     

    NB! Mask and Covid certificate mandatory when entering the building! 

     

    Also silver and gold pins as well as stamps into the Worldloppet passport.

  • Finish

    Location of the finish line and services has changed.

    Finish is open up to 19:00.

  • Medical aid

    Medical service is located in the main tribune building close to the stadium gate.

     

    In case of medical emergency on the track, call 112 or contact the medical crew at the next service station.
     

    If you cancel the race (also for non-medical reason) inform the medical crew in the closest service station.
