TARTU RATTARALLI VINTAGE

Tartu Rattaralli Vintage is a joint ride created for vintage bike enthusiasts. The initiative aims to celebrate the history and story of cycling by highlighting vintage bicycles, cycling gear and all the other associated elements.

  • On May 26th, a separate Vintage start group exclusively for riders with vintage equipment will kick off on Tartu Rattaralli 56 km distance.
  • Participants will be accompanied by a time-true support car and motorcycle with mechanics along the route.
  • The focus is on enjoying the joint ride rather than competing.
  • Participants will receive specially designed start numbers, timing will be provided.
  • A vintage bicycle is defined as one with a steel frame produced before 1987. Check the photo for other details of an old school bike.
  • Organisers will not check the gear on the event day, and the authenticity is the responsibility and a matter of honour for the participants.
  • We strongly recommend to test the vintage equipment beforehand to be sure, that the distance can be covered at minimum average speed of 18-20 km/h.
  • In the Vintage starting group, a retro helmet is allowed as an exception, but for safety organizers recommend wearing a modern helmet.
  • Participants will receive a special Vintage diploma, warm soup, a medal, and the respect of fellow cyclists.
  • Vintage ride will be officially recorded as participation in Tartu Rattaralli 2024.
