How does the seeding work in Tartu Maraton?
At the 63 km distance, priority is given to the result of Tartu Maraton. The starting position is calculated automatically in the database, based on the best result from the last three years. Result from the short distance gives a place from the 5th group.
Foreign participants, who have not skied Tartu Maraton, will be also seeded automatically based on the results of the Worldloppet races from the last 3 years. Total number of participants and the loss percentage are taken into account.
Note! Previous results will be considered until February 11th! Deadline for applications to consider the starting position based on Worldloppet results is also February 11th. Please send the application with the result link to aet@tartumaraton.ee. Later registrations will give a start position in the last start group.
At the 31 km classic and skating distances, participants choose their starting group themselves, based on the expected time to complete the race. In both starts, you can choose between two time periods: under 3 hours or over 3 hours.
Additional information can be found in the race rules and start times in the program.
