“We planned for a 20% increase in participants, allowing 2000 for the marathon and half marathon, but nearly 1900 have already registered,” explains race director Indrek Kelk. The 10 km event has also exceeded last year’s numbers, with 1600 participants so far and space for 400 more.

Friday Night Run is also on track for a record-breaking with 2000 participants expected. There’s no limit for this event, but adjustments have been made to the course to welcome more runners. Spectators can enjoy a concert and laser show.

Kid´s races will also be held on Saturday, offering medals, ice cream, and soft drink to all finishers. “There’s no need to worry about running out, here we have enough for everyone,” confirms Kelk.

13th Tartu City Marathon will take place on October 5, with distances of 10 km, 21 km, 42 km, and kid´s events. The half marathon will also determine Estonia’s champions. The Friday Night Run, a 4 km event, takes place on October 4.
