Changes to Tartu Rattamaraton start times
Based on participant feedback, the organizers of Tartu Rattamaraton have decided to change the start schedule. Compared to the previous plan, the 86 km and 40 km starts will be moved one hour later, while the 126 km start will be brought forward by five and a half hours. The 21 km start time remains unchanged.

Lauri Tamm and Aidi Gerde Tuisk Win Tartu Rattaralli
The 131 km main distance of the 44th Tartu Rattaralli, held today, ended in a thrilling sprint finish, with 21-year-old Lauri Tamm taking the victory in a time of 02:48:13. Second place went to Karl Patrick Lauk (+00:00:01), who launched an attack five kilometers before the finish, and third place was claimed by Romet Pajur (+00:00:04).

The 21 km main distance of the 43rd Tartu Maastikumaraton, held today, brought victory to one family as Karel Hussar claimed the men’s title with a course record of 1:07:25, and Liis-Grete Arro took the women’s win with a time of 1:21:59.

Tartu Rattaralli: start returns to city centre, routes get slightly longer
After six years, the start of the long and medium distances at Tartu Rattaralli returns to its traditional location. It is back together with the finish area – right in the heart of the city. “We’re bringing the start back to the city centre to make the event more compact and participant-friendly,” says race director Indrek Kelk. “Due to road construction, we tried several alternatives in recent years, but now we’re happy to return.”

Today, at the Alutaguse Sports Center, Lauri Lepistö took the victory of the 51st Tartu Maraton's 40 km classic race after a tight finish battle, crossing the finish line in 01:58:51.9. Czech skier Fabian Stocek secured second place (+0:00:00.2), while Raido Ränkel, the best Estonian, finished third (+0:00:00.8).

Confirmed! Tartu Maraton will take place in Alutaguse
The location of the 51. Tartu Maraton has been officially confirmed today. The race will take place on February 15th-16th at Alutaguse Sports Center, as the necessary snow cover is available there, unlike on the original course.

Less than two weeks before the race the minus degrees have arrived, but the original course still does not have enough snow. Forecasts predict colder temperatures but no snowfall that would allow to prepare the ski tracks on the traditional Otepää–Elva route.

Three weeks before the 51th edition of Tartu Maraton, the organizers are working with various options for hosting this year's race in the challenging snow conditions. Considering the good snow conditions in the Northern part of Estonia and the upcoming weather forecast, one option on the table is to hold the race in Alutaguse, Ida-Viru County.
