Marathon buses

Traditionally, special buses operate on marathon day from Tartu and the Elva finish parking area to the start areas, and return after the finish.

 

This year, return buses from the finish will no longer depart based on occupancy, but every full hour, except for the last bus, which departs 30 minutes after the finish closes. When purchasing the ticket, you must choose a suitable return departure time. If skiing takes longer, the purchased ticket is also valid for later departures subject to seat availability. 

 

Bus + parking in one ticket

Tickets for buses departing from Elva finish parking area to the start locations also include a parking ticket. When buying a bus ticket, you must indicate whether you want a parking ticket and enter the vehicle registration number.

 

Bus tickets and prices

• The day ticket costs €6 in advance and €10 when purchased on the bus.
• Tickets bought online will be sent to the email address provided with the order.
• A seat on the shuttle buses to the start areas is guaranteed only with a ticket purchased in advance (online or at the marathon race centre).
• Please arrive at the bus a few minutes early – buses depart on time.

Parking

• Parking is free at the Tehvandi Stadium parking areas, at the Arula start, and at the service stations. Follow the instructions of traffic officers.
• Parking at the Elva finish parking areas is paid. Large designated parking areas are available along the Elva–Hellenurme road, where parking services are provided by EuroPark. The parking ticket is valid for 72 hours and costs €7 (mobile operator service fees apply). We recommend purchasing the parking ticket in advance to ensure a smoother experience on site.
• If you are dropping off a participant and do not intend to park, short-term kiss and fly parking is allowed. No parking fee applies if you leave within 10 minutes.
• Subaru gives you a free parking. The parking area marked with Mariine Auto and Subaru flags is located in the closest parking area to the finish, P3. A bus ticket is still required for a bus ride to the start.
