50. Tartu Maraton takes place on February 17-18, 2024. Two new Worldloppet calendar races and a team relay are added to Saturday with the start place in Arula and finish in Elva. The classical races of 63 and 31 km traditionally take place on Sunday, February 18.

  • Tartu Maraton free technique race – 17.02

For the first time, Tartu Maraton can be completed in free technique. Just like on the main marathon day, participants can enjoy the traditional service stations with blueberry soup on the course, and a medal, hot soup and sauna at the finish. The distance is 31 km and finishers will receive a Worldloppet silver stamp. There are no winners declared – we just ski for skiing!

  • Tartu Maraton Vintage – 17.02

To celebrate the 50th jubilee, the Tartu Maraton Vintage welcomes everyone in fond of traditions to cover the race with old ski equipment. The 31 km retro distance is also eligible for Worldloppet silver stamp.

  • Team Relay – 17.02

The emotional relay race is a great opportunity to make a final training and check out the marathon track just before the big race day on Sunday. The 31 km distance is divided in three legs: 1. Arula-Palu 14 km, 2. Palu-Hellenurme 6.9 km and 3. Hellenurme-Elva 9.5 km.

  • 50. Tartu Maraton – 18.02

On the main day of Tartu Maraton, traditions will be kept. Still in classic technique, still 63 and 31 km, still Worldloppet gold and silver races. It's still the good legendary ski festival, where people from all over the world come to enjoy the rolling landscape of South- Estonia and the top-quality course. It's going to be a great event, because already today the registrations are on a record schedule - before Midsummer more than 700 skiers have signed up.
