Tartu Rattaralli now also offers Granfondo European Championship qualification
Starting from this season, Tartu Rattaralli offers participants one more major opportunity. In addition to qualifying for the Granfondo World Championships, riders on the 135 km distance can now also qualify for the Granfondo European Championships.
The race has been part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series for five seasons already, and from now on its European events offer the chance to qualify for two major championships. The Granfondo European Championships will take place on October 3–4 in Varese, Italy, and the World Championships on August 26–30 in Niseko, Japan.
Qualification at Tartu Rattaralli is based on the 135 km distance and calculated by age group. All riders aged 19 and over are eligible to take part.
The series medal and an invitation to the championships are awarded to riders who finish in the top 25% of their age group. For the European Championships classification, this applies to riders holding the sporting nationality of a European country.
